News and Announcements
The coaches are enthusiastically pleased, on many levels, with the teams performance yesterday! Great times, heights, distances combined with a great sense of team spirit and unity made for a great first meet!
There were many personal bests yesterday and that is due in large part to the preseason work that many of you put in. Of special note was Emily Martone’s personal best in the 800, Hope Decker’s great 400m dash, Kayla Guerierri’s PR in the discus and Anthony Bouselli’s 140’ discus heave (only 13 feet off of a state qualifying distance).
Keep working hard in practice as we strive to get better each day and let’s go down to Bethlehem Liberty and bring back some HARDWARE!!!
GREAT START…NOW LET’S GET BETTER!!!
The weather has been GREAT and so has the effort at practice!
The coaches are very enthusiastic about the start of the season and we look forward to your continued effort as we prepare for our opponents. We are officially one week away from our first contest against Western Wayne. Have a great week of practice and enjoy the warm weather :)
The Wallenpaupack throwers represented our team well over the President’s Day weekend at the Western Wayne field event challenge. The event featured shot put and high jump competitions and athletes from all over Northeastern PA competed. Congratulations to the following athletes.
Laura Bibbs – 1st Place – Junior High Division
Taylor Borrero – 3rd Place – Junior High Division
Taylor Campfield – 3rd Place – Varsity Division
Anthony Bouselli – 3rd Place – Varsity Division
With only two weeks until the beginning of the season, the coaches are planning workouts and organizing paperwork.
New Athletes that have not competed in another sport in the 2011-2012 school year MUST have a full physical in order to practice. If you missed the free physical provided by the school, then NOW is the time to get one with your family doctor. NO PHYSICAL NO PRACTICE!
All other athletes should turn in a section 5 form to one of the coaches prior to the beginning of the season. There are links to these forms to the left on this website.
The coaches are excited to work with all of the athletes and see how many District 2 qualifiers are on our team.
Train Hard…Perform Well!
The coaching staff would like to recognize those athletes that earned district medals at the 2011 District 2 Track and Field Championship meet:

We are very proud of your individual accomplishments and hope that your success inspires your teammates. We were better as a team in 2011 than we have been in recent years, but make no mistake about it. WE CAN NOT AFFORD TO BE SATISFIED!! Work hard in your other sports and dedicate yourself so that your team will be better in 2012.
Have a great Summer,
