Congratulations to the ladies as they earned their first victory of the season by defeating Scranton Prep 77-73. There were several gritty performances and personal bests that lifted the lady bucks to victory. Earning first places for the team were the: 3200m relay team (Schmidt, Stack, Halas, Martone), 400m relay team (Ruzeicki, Guzzo, Elliot, Stevenson), Jasmine Stevenson (100m & 200m), Erica Maxson (1600m), Hope Decker (400m & triple jump ) and Kayla Guerrieri (Discus). There were also many 2nd and third places finishes to make this win a total team effort…GREAT JOB LADIES!!!
The boys suffered a tough loss 101-49. Capturing 1st places for the boys were: George Folk (800m), Caleb Vogler (high jump) and Anthony Bouselli (shot put, discus and javelin).
The boys lost a very close meet with the Comets of Abington, 79.5 – 70.5. The meet could have gone either way and there were definitely some nice performances. Winning for the Buckhorns were Chris Irving, Pat Ingulli, Ricky Smith, Anthony Bouselli and the 1600m relay team.
Our ladies faced a very tough comet team and still managed to have some success. Battling for 1st place finishes were Hope Decker, Chelsea Mann, Kayla Guerrieri, Natalie Christopher and the 1600m relay team.
Continue to work hard in practice and strive for improvement as we prepare for a home meet against Scranton Prep on Tuesday.
A chain is only as strong as its weakest link…Don’t be a weak link!
